I guess the only thing I would add is that a lot of the top-tier literary journals are supported by university creative writing departments, and the slush pile is read for free by MFA students. When this is the case, it seems particularly hard-hearted to charge submitters a reading fee, especially when Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
